Lake Skadar Adventure Tours is owned by Undiscovered Montenegro and operated by brother and sister team Vuk and Bojana Sekulić.

“We are originally from the north of Montenegro, but have lived and worked in Podgorica, Montenegro’s capital, for most of our adult lives. Back in 2012, we were approached by the founders of Undiscovered Montenegro, Ben and Emma Heywood. They asked us if we wanted to help them set up a quality hiking, kayaking and wine-tasting day tours operation to compliment their successful activity holiday business, both showing off the amazing natural beauty of this special National Park. We said “Yes!”, and in the years since these day tours have become ever so popular we are now Lake Skadar’s no:1 day tours operator!”

All your guides speak excellent English and are fully qualified in their respective fields. All tour equipment is carefully vetted and we have full liability insurance.

Day tours Tour Leader VukVuk is a man of many talents – radio show host, voice-over artist and committed eco-phile, he is one of the very few locally qualified kayak guides in Montenegro. Whether you’re looking to kayak, hike or mountain bike, he’s your man! Vuk speaks excellent English and of course Serbian/Montenegrin.

Day tours tour leader BojanaBojana wrote the book on sustainable tourism in Montenegro! Whilst working for the CSTI (Centre for Sustainable Tourism) and various NGOs she helped to define Montenegro’s reputation for organic gastronomy as well as having a hand in creating most of Lake Skadar National Park’s hiking trails. She speaks Serbian/Montenegrin and English.

Kayaking season is open! 🛶 🙌 Although still winter, it already feels like Spring here in Montenegro with sunny blue skies and daily highs of around 20 degrees. ☀️ Perfect conditions for our first paddle of the year and to introduce our newly arrived volunteers, Greg and Catyie, to the magnificent lake and National Park we call home. Smooth rippled waters made it easy paddling to the prison island of Grmožur, where we rested a while, listening to the call of water-birds like Pygmy Cormorant, Greater Crested Grebe and Yellow-legged Gull. Nature therapy at its best. ☺️It’s going to be another unusual start to our operations this year, but we plan to open in mid-April as normal – Montenegro’s committed to welcoming tourists, just like last year. Great news! Get in touch to find out more about kayaking and all our other eco escapades… ⬇️ #adventuretime ... See MoreSee Less

Things are looking a little rosier our way! We're talking about the landscape of course and this incredible view as we drove along Lake Skadar's northern shores at dusk the other day. It's true, though, that there's a rosier picture altogether for everyone who's booked to adventure with us from the UK this summer or thinking of coming (and if you're in the latter camp, get your skates on, we only have limited availability!). We hope for similarly positive news for the rest of Europe soon. Thanks to all our guests who've already got in touch. We're really looking forward to seeing you! #adventuretime ... See MoreSee Less

There’s been a lot of talk about summer recently, making us nostalgic for the summer of 2020. Yes really! 😉 While we might not have had as many guests as usual, Montenegro’s beauty was every bit as epic, as you can see in this teaser (full vid coming soon!). ☀️We’re so fortunate to live in such an amazing place where it’s easy to escape into wild, untouched nature. We can't wait to share it with our guests booked in and the ones yet to find us. 💚If this looks like your kind of adventure, get in touch to talk summer 2021! We’ve all had rather more time to dream than do recently, so we thought we’d share some of the flights of fancy we’ve had over the last ten years that we’ve managed to turn into reality! Check out our latest blog post to read about all the crazy winter projects we’ve taken on here at Villa Miela over the years! 👉🏼 chicken coops and boules courts to yoga decks and swimming pools, each project has had the same goal – to provide our guests with an amazing space to enjoy our nature-based activity holidays here in – ahem – undiscovered Montenegro! It all began with a charming but ruined stone farmhouse back in 2008…#undiscoveredmontenegro #granddesigns ... Time to share some outstanding natural beauty from our base at Lake Skadar National Park. We snapped these stunning morning and evening scenes last Saturday. 😍 With so much snow on the mountains this year, those peaks should remain white until June. Our early season lake guests can look forward to an extra incredible landscape – and with vaccination programmes up and running, the virus in decline, Montenegro’s borders open and flights here confirmed to start again from April (Easyjet) and May (Ryanair), it looks travel is back on the cards. We can’t think of anywhere better to visit once it is… #adventureholidays ... See MoreSee Less
